"Thank you for a lovely stay. The Boathouse is very well equipped and perfectly clean - probably the cleanest property we've ever stayed in! The lovely treats left for us were much appreciated too."
"Thank you for a lovely Easter weekend break. The cottage is in a beautiful, peaceful spot - it is very well equipped and presented exquisitely with everything we needed and more. The Easter treats and flowers are very much appreciated and the two ensuite bedrooms were comfortable and warm with a bonus of blackout blinds. Thank you again - we will be back."
"As ever Alice made us feel very welcome. The cottage was very warm and cosy. Thank you so much for your kindness on my Birthday. Tracey."
"The Boathouse has a fantastic location. The house is very comfortable and well equipped (prefer bigger mugs). The welcome pack of fruit, wine, scones etc is amazing and I especially appreciated the fresh flowers! We loved the canoes and managed a few trips in them. Would definitely recommend coming here and would certainly return. Thank you."
"What can we say. Just everything you would want in a holiday. This is one of the best places we have stayed in and we have stayed in lots. The welcome pack was amazing and a lovely bunch of flowers was a super touch. This boat house has everything you would want when away. Fab showers, beds, lots of hanging space and drawers. Kitchen is well equipped and if we didn't have what you want the owner was more than helpful to sort it for you if needed. All four of us will give 10/10 for our stay and will defo be coming back next year. Thank you!"
"Lovely location and property. Great layout. Canoes wonderful. Lucky we had bailers. Best welcome package ever. Would like slightly larger tea pot."
"Extremely well stocked little cottage. Fresh fruit basket, milk jam soap etc all welcome touches. Well situated for the beaches, culture and best of all the canoes were a great activity."
"Fabulous situation on the waters edge, enabling us to watch the Otter, two Kingfishers and fish in the clear waters. The Boathouse is absolutely beautiful with everything that you could possibly require on your visit. Alice makes you very welcome. We had a great two weeks holiday."
"Very enjoyable stay in an extremely well-equipped property. Everything you need in a modern kitchen is here. The welcome hamper was a nice surprise. Peaceful location for a Norfolk holiday with easy access to places of interest."
"We have enjoyed another holiday here at the Boathouse, our third visit, again everything is first class apart from the weather our first week. We have found new places to visit that are only a short drive away. The Rabbits kept us amused, along with the water birds, especially at Hickling Broad. Our thanks to Alice and family for making our break memorable and for all the extras provided by them and also their kindness and thoughtfulness. We hope to return next year."
"A beautiful and immaculate property in a lovely surrounding. We enjoyed a canoe trip up river from the front door. In a great location for exploring Norfolk. Would definitely return!"
"Our second visit to this beautiful house. Weather was very kind to us, 16 degrees in February on a boat on the Broads was amazing. The house is in an amazing setting and the little extras mean so much and are very welcoming. We really hope to return again in the future. Thank you."
"A last minute booking and so pleased we found the Boathouse. In a lovely position right next to the water. It was spotlessly clean and everything felt like new. It was kept warm all the time, so lovely to come back to after a day out in February. The canoe provided was lovely and we enjoyed a couple of trips up the nearby canal. All in all a perfect place for a week away."
"We loved the house – it was great being water-side and the welcome pack, fresh fruit and fresh flowers were much appreciated. Alice is really helpful without being intrusive and we’ve had a lovely week exploring the area. Many thanks."
"Very nice indeed thank you. Immaculately presented and spotlessly clean with virtually everything you could need provided. Thank you for the very generous fruit bowl, hamper and fresh flowers. Much appreciated. Highly recommended. It’s a ten from me!"
"Year after year we find ourselves re-booking this lovely holiday home. In previous times we’ve returned to other holiday homes only to be disappointed that the owners have failed to keep the standards and quality of accommodation. Not so here, it is a beautiful location and always, always spotless, up to date and well maintained. It is our happy place and in part due to the helpful and friendly proprietors Alice and Ollie, but also the comfortable house, wildlife and simply sitting on the deck watching the river. We haven’t found its equal in this country. Thank you!"
"We have had another fantastic week at the boathouse. The accommodation is very comfortable and in a great location for the beach and the Broads. It’s a perfect spot and the house works really well for a young family. Highly recommended."
"A fourth fantastic stay at the Boathouse. All home comforts are considered and it’s the little touches that go above and beyond that make us return again and again. The beautiful weather has helped us enjoy the surroundings and we’ve enjoyed watching the Kingfishers at breakfast time from the dining window. Thank you Alice."
"A very enjoyable stay in Wayford on the Broads. The Boathouse has been an excellent base from which to explore North Norfolk – both by car and canoe! We’ve loved being by the water and having a drink on the decking as the sun sets. We’d recommend a trip out to Sheringham and the North Norfolk Railway plus the Horsey Windpump Windmill. All in all an excellent week on the Norfolk Broads which has been enhanced by the high standard of our accommodation. Thoroughly recommended!"
"We have had a great family canoe holiday at the boathouse, remember to download the Wayford Bridge canoe trail map as this makes navigation much easier! Sutton and Dilham pubs are an easy paddle away. Saw plenty of Kingfishers, Grebes and the elusive Otter! Great house and location for quiet family time on the river."
